Morning after big 'send-off' from friends.... 4th one this week....and I wont even start explaining the state I was in last week. So many preparations for the BIG MOVE...it's now 11am here, and I went to bed at 6. Uh-huh Read and weep

Big list....today I'm supposed to: pack everything that's left over, i.e. clothes, cds, stereo system, laptop, bed, bedside table, a chair, camping stuff and lots of junk which I need around me to feel at home. I'm scared of the moving guys so my momy's gonna (sorry, I mean, I've bribed my mum to) drive me down.... awww. It would be a sweet thing to do if I hadn't promised her a free trip down to see me as a bargain. Oh, fuckshitpussybitchcuntsnotbitch damn it, just remember I'm supposed to meet libby at 12

Ah, well... I have an excuse.

Just switched on the radio.... what a lot of cheer! A big discussion on serial killers on one wave, and a 'debate' (more like slagging match) about gay rights..... which was oh so very slightly imbalanced by the fact that the 'presenter' came across as being v. homophobic, on another. Same when I switch on the tv.... some chat show where ugly poor ppl beat eachother up and throw insults at eachother... and so it goes on.... the woes of the world de-sensitising us. i.e. we're getting used to 'tragedy' and hostility, making our unconscious react in the same way. Some would say it's brain washing. But then again, any form of entertainment, information etc. which is aired to the whole populace is brainwashing, period.

Just finished reading 'Globalisation' by George Sorros.... annoyingly technical... I preffer to read Edward Said, Naom Chomsky, Arundhati Roy and the like when brushing up on my political knowledge... it's so much more colourful then George Sorros = paragraph upon paragraph of monotonous explanations about financial marketing, market fundamentalists, the relation between far-left antiglobalisation activists and far-left globalisation fundamentalists..... BO-RING!

Have to find another book... prefferably several to occupy me during the loooong 14 hour journey down to London.
